Welcome to the new website of Heilsutrygd.

Heilsutrygd is the national health insurance of the Faroe Islands.

All residents of the Faroe Islands are covered by Heilsutrygd and have a right to free or subsidised treatment from many primary health providers.

We are currently developing the website. One of the main goals is to have more information and guides available in English on this site.

We expect to continually expand and update the English-language section through the summer of 2024.
